Twelve Russians advanced to the second round of Roland Garros

OREANDA-NEWS Four Russians in men’s singles and eight athletes in women’s have made it to the second round of the Roland Garros Grand Slam tennis tournament in Paris.

Daniil Medvedev, Andrey Rublev, Karen Khachanov and Pavel Kotov won their matches in the first round of the French Open Tennis Championship. The results of the meetings are available on the tournament website.

The French Open Tennis Championship, known as Roland Garros, runs until June 9th. The prize fund of the tournament amounted to a record 53.5 million euros. The current winner of the men’s singles competition, Serbian Novak Djokovic, will play his first match tonight against Frenchman Pierre-Hugues Herbert.
