Paul Pogba offered football lifeline by Russia’s celebrity-hosted league club

Paul Pogba has been handed 4-year ban for doping

A stunning offer to play football again has reportedly been made to Paul Pogba, the midfield player for Juventus and former Manchester United, just weeks after receiving a new four-year suspension for doping. This information comes from a report by Tuttosport.

The rumour claims that he has an offer from a league team hosted by a Russian celebrity. Celebrities, including actresses, influencers, and the like, make up the Media Football League, which was founded in 2022.The squad making the offer is named Broke Boys, and their head coach, Artjom Chatjaturjan, is genuinely interested in the World Cup winner.

“It may seem like a joke, but we called him.” He told Tuttosport.

“So far he has politely refused. He is in a desperate moment and needs time to accept it, Pogba is one of the best footballers in world and won’t be able to play for that long.” he added.

The president of the team is said to have written Pogba and his representative a letter outlining the conditions of the deal. They offer Pogba a meagre 1167 pounds in compensation plus a slew of perks if he signs the deal and relocates to Russia.

The deal would include “luxury” lodging in Odintsovo that would be exclusive to the athlete. These claims raise even more doubts about the French midfielder’s future since there are already whispers that he may hang up his boots in the event that his appeal is denied. If Pogba can demonstrate that the prohibited substance entered his system accidentally or through contamination, his restriction may be lowered or lifted.

“When I am free of legal restrictions the full story will become clear, but I have never knowingly or deliberately taken any supplements that violate anti-doping regulations.

“As a professional athlete I would never do anything to enhance my performance by using banned substances,

“And have never disrespected or cheated fellow athletes and supporters of the teams I have played for, or against.” Pogba stated right after his ban.
