Kazakhstan national football team manager doesn’t rule out his return to Russia

Head coach of Kazakhstan’s football national team Magomed Adiyev doesn’t rule out his return to Russia, Kazinform News Agency reports.

According to Sports.kz, the 46-year-old Adiyev who has a history of working at Russian football clubs revealed he still gets offers to work in Russia.

“I had offers to work with the Russian football clubs and I still occasionally get them. But I need to complete the cycle [with Kazakhstan’s national team] and make decisions after that,” said Adiyev.

“Of course I don’t rule out my return to Russia in the near future. I can’t say it’s my ultimate dream. At this point, I’m happy with how the things are at Kazakhstan’s national team. This team gave me a lot and I truly hope I gave it something. Right now I’m fully focused on playoffs,” he said.

Kazakhstan is set to clash with Greece in the EURO 2024 play-off semifinals on March 22.

Magomed Adiyev built his coaching portfolio managing such football clubs as Anzhi Makhachkala, Akhmat Grozny and Shakhter Karagandy.
