Indian handloom and handcrafted couture Make a mark at Moscow Fashion Week

After Paris, Milan and New York, Indian designers are steadily establishing their footprints in the Russian fashion industry.

The recently-concluded Moscow Fashion Week (MFW), which was held from March 1 to 8 in Moscow, witnessed participation from various Russian designers, and brands and designers from China, Brazil, UAE and India also showcased their collections at the event.

Designer duo Shalini Jaikaria and Paras Bairoliya and Nitin Bal Chauhan recently participated at MFW.

In the last few months, this was the second show in Russia by the Indian designers.

Designers Ritesh Kumar, Naushad Ali, Gaurav Khanijo and Shruti Sancheti presented their handloom collections in a show curated by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) at BRICS+Fashion Summit in Moscow, which began in November last year.
