2 Ukrainian were stabbed to death by a Russian in a shopping centre

Two Ukrainian servicemen were stabbed to death after being attacked by a Russian in a shopping centre in southern Germany on Saturday evening.

German Police said a 36-year-old man died on the spot in the town of Murnau, and a 23-year-old man died later that evening in a nearby hospital. The two Ukrainian men were residents of the district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen and had been in Germany for a long time because they were there for medical treatment. 

According to the German authorities, a 57-year-old Russian man was arrested at his home not far from the scene and is considered to be the man who carried out this attack. A criminal investigation into this double murder is underway.
